PLI CBD and PLI CBD2
Are you an operator?Don’t want to invest your assets in PLI CBD and PLI CBD2 integration?
Take advantage of Atman’s support
The client may choose one of the two options:
- setting up a connection to PLI CBD2
- setting up a connection to PLI CBD & PLI CBD2
In the second option the client has access also to the system of obtaining information about the subscriber’s location.
Number transfer requests will be submitted and fully handled via a Web panel provided by Atman. We will also provide support for operator certificates obtained from the Electronic Communications Office (UKE), via our IPSec tunnels linked to the PLI CBD system.
The Polish Electronic Communications Office (UKE) is currently introducing the PLI CBD2 system to standardize the processes relating to the transfer of numbers in case of a change of service provider in landline and mobile networks. From October 2, 2015, applications for the transfer of landline numbers will be handled electronically only via the PLI CBD system.
This means that every telecommunications firm providing voice services in mobile and landline networks, including services based directly or indirectly on wholesale regulated services (WLR, LLU) is obliged to connect its network, directly or via another operator’s public telecommunications network, to the PLI CBD2 database of transferred numbers maintained by the UKE, which forms a part of the PLI CBD system.
Main features of PLI CBD2
- A common database of transferred numbers
- Standardization of transfer procedures
- RN database
- Assigned numbers database
- Operators obliged to meet deadlines for transfers
- Ability to direct ACQ traffic
In the model currently being implemented, operators do not communicate with each other directly when transferring numbers, but exchange data exclusively via the PLI CBD2 system (see the diagram above).
