Shoper and Atman are investing in data centers for the e-commerce market. Buyers and sellers will gain greater speed and security in online transactions.

The market leader in SaaS online stores will launch two new data centers in cooperation with Atman. The aim of the investment is to further increase the computing power of the Shoper platform and to use the latest network security solutions. Shoper will also expand the fiber optic network connecting the data centers and implement a new cybersecurity platform. In 2022, the number of data centers used by Shoper will increase to four. The company also uses public cloud infrastructure provided by global technology companies.

The Shoper platform offers the most popular solution for running an online store in the SaaS model on the Polish market. It also enables the use of additional services such as online payments, online advertising and logistics.

At the end of 2021, Shoper supported 33,000 customers, of which nearly 26,000 directly and over 7,000 in the private label model, delivering its services to business partners. In November 2021 alone, 1,000 new stores were opened on the Shoper platform – a record high in a single month. Sales in stores using the Shoper platform were also record-breaking – GMV for own stores amounted to PLN 5.8 billion in 2021, and for multi-channel sales (omnichannel, i.e. in own stores and shopping platforms connected to them) – PLN 6.4 billion. This represents an increase of 44% and 46% respectively compared to 2020.
